Metal Gear Solid V Hitting PC Same Day as Consoles

Looks like PC fans of the Metal Gear Solid franchise won’t have to wait after all.  Though originally slated for release September 15, two weeks later than the console release date, Konami announced today that all versions will in fact be available for purchase on September 1.  This is exciting news, considering the company’s previous statements regarding the low possibility of preparing the PC version for release by the same time as consoles.

However, multiplayer fans will be disappointed to hear that they’re going to have to wait a little longer for Metal Gear Online.  While it will be available for console-users on October 6, PC players will just have to stick to single-player until January at the earliest.  Who knows, perhaps we’ll see MGO for PC get an earlier release date scheduled as well?  We’ll just have to wait and see.  MGS V: The Phantom Pain hits shelves on September 1.
