Xbox One: Backwards Compatibility is Coming This November

Mark your calendars Xbox fans!  Microsoft has announced that backwards compatibility will available for Xbox One users starting November 15.  They also stated that 100 additional games have been added to the available library, though they did not state any specific titles.  We do know that products from certain developers like Bandai Namco, Square Enix, Bethesda, Warner Bros, and others will be featured, as well as every free title included in the Games With Gold collection.

Xbox One users will also not have to fret about additional costs.  The backwards compatibility feature will be entirely free.  All that’s required is inserting the compatible disc or checking the digital library for new games.  This is great news and encouraging to anyone disappointed by the console’s original lack of backwards compatibility.  Microsoft seems to be taking the best steps in alleviating this public issue and we look forward to November.
