Comcept (Once Again) Delays Mighty No. 9

Backers for Mighty No. 9 were looking forward to having access to the trial version of the game yesterday as compensation for delaying the final product; that is until Comcept rather covertly delayed it.  While an update has not yet been released explaining why backers have yet to receive the codes for the trial version promised to them, the developer’s official website featured a sneaky footnote in a post regarding a “Robot Design contest” explaining:

“Finally, we know that all of our fans are looking forward to the Special Demo Version we are preparing, and we just ask that you be a little more patient.  The team is working on it, but some issues popped up regarding the distribution method so there is a good chance it will not be ready to launch by the 15th.  We are really sorry for the inconvenience.”

The post was published on September 15th and there’s still no word from the developer on when things will be getting back on track (including a reschedule date for the trial’s release).  However, the team also stated, “As soon as we have more info, we will let everyone know immediately,” so hopefully it’s only a matter of time before backers start getting their due for sticking with the project despite all the deceit.
