Drew Karpyshyn Returns to BioWare

The lead writer of Mass Effect is returning to his home company, after a stint working on his own novels called Chaos Born.

Karpyshyn has worked on a plethora of BioWare titles including lead writer on Mass Effect, co-lead writer on Mass Effect 2, as well as writing credits on Jade Empire, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and many others.

He announced his return on self-titled blog, and while he stated he would not be on any major current projects, or creating a brand new IP, he plans to work solely on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

The gaming world knows BioWare is working on Mass Effect: Andromeda, but outside of title, nothing more has been revealed–though through his announcement–we can be certain he will not be on the writing staff.
