Hyrule Warriors Legends 3D functionality will only work on New 3DS

Originally unveiled at E3 2015, Hyrule Warriors Legends is shaping up to be a pretty glamorous port of Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U.Despite its more than gratifying public image, with Nintendo showing off a new exclusive campaign for the port based on The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, some disheartening news came out earlier this week about the game only supporting 3D functionality on the New 3DS only. This may not seem like a large concern at first glance because players who get the game for the standard 3DS or the New 3DS will also receive DLC codes to unlock Toon Link, Tetra, and the King of Hyrule from Wind Waker on the Wii U version of the game. Further, both 3DS versions of the game will also have amiibo support and is expected to release early next year stateside. Check out the initial reveal trailer for the Wind Waker campaign that was shown at Tokyo Game Show 2015.

I live in Southern California and I am a college graduate who enjoys playing video games both new and old. However, I am a very selective gamer and I tend to play games from my favorite genres most of the time, but I am still open to anything that peaks my interest. What games I can review or provide editorials for is mostly dependent on whether I can afford a certain game and if I have an opinion about the game that I wish to express. Anyway, I intend to contribute general gaming news and reviews to Cynosure Gaming as much as possible in order to inform, entertain, and unify gamers of all kinds.
