Nintendo names new president

Earlier today in Japan Nintendo announced the new presidential head of the company and it is not Shigeru Miyamoto. In fact the new president’s name is Tatsumi Kimishima who was the former managing director and current head of Nintendo Human Resources. Nintendo’s placement of a new president arrived in the wake of Satoru Iwata’s untimely and tragic death in July of this year. Despite Kimishima’s age at 65, he promises to uphold all the values that Iwata had while he served as Nintendo’s president.

At a press conference held in Osaka, Kimishima said how “There will be no change in Iwata’s fundamental objective and strategies” and he will establish “a next generation of collective leadership” aimed at creating “new projects and nurturing talented people” with Miyamoto and Genyo Takeda. Kimishima’s position as president and representative director of Nintendo Co Ltd. will be officially effective on September 16.

I live in Southern California and I am a college graduate who enjoys playing video games both new and old. However, I am a very selective gamer and I tend to play games from my favorite genres most of the time, but I am still open to anything that peaks my interest. What games I can review or provide editorials for is mostly dependent on whether I can afford a certain game and if I have an opinion about the game that I wish to express. Anyway, I intend to contribute general gaming news and reviews to Cynosure Gaming as much as possible in order to inform, entertain, and unify gamers of all kinds.
