Star Wars Battlefront Beta Launches Oct. 8; Xbox One Version Releases Early

EA and DICE have announced that the Battlefront beta will run from October 8 to the 12th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.  Download is available to all players, no registration necessary.

The beta will feature 3 different maps with 3 different game modes: Walker Assault on Hoth, Drop Zone on Sullust, and Stranded on Tatooine (a cooperative-based survival mission).  The level cap is 5 and players can spend in-game credits on unlockable items, however player progress will not translate over to the official release version.

Microsoft have also announced via Twitter that subscribers to EA Access will have access to the full Xbox One game five days earlier than everyone else on November 12.

Star Wars Battlefront is shaping up to be a massive online experience and whether you’re waiting for the beta, the early access, or the standard release, there’s a lot to be excited for Star Wars-wise in the upcoming months.  The full game is scheduled for release on November 17 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
