Get in the Mood for Doom Multiplayer with New Trailer

Shotguns, exploding bodies, and a knee to the face highlight an action packed trailer for id Software’s newest shooter. The video is a peek at what a small number of people experienced over the weekend during Doom’s closed alpha testing. The graphics look gorgeous, and the action is rapid. A larger number of people, namely those who bought Wolfenstein: The New Order, will get a chance to try out the game during Doom’s beta testing, which is set to start sometime in the next few months.

Bethesda first showed off Doom’s gameplay at this year’s E3. The game features a wide range of melee weapons and guns that can be used during the campaign or multiplayer modes. The game doesn’t feature a cover system nor a health-regeneration system, in hopes of creating quick and frantic action.  There will be a number of different multiplayer modes, with some allowing players to transform into monsters.

Doom is set to release sometime in the first half of 2016 for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. You can check out the multiplayer trailer below.
