Horizon: Zero Dawn – Paris Games Week

Guerrilla Games gave gamers new insights to its most recent IP, Horizon: Zero Dawn, at Paris Games Week with a new trailer.

Mark Norris, senior producer for the game, outlined one of the games’ staples: tactical strategy. Protagonist Aloy MUST be strategic when engaging in combat. Not all foes fall the same and the video is a great display of this attribute. Norris explains more about the herd mentality of the Grazers and how to anticipate movements.

He also noted that machine components are extremely integral to narrative elements, which also add emphasis to tactics.

The rendered world looks, sounds, and feels alive–as if its own character–and will be completely open, much like the world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
