Hideo Kojima will be forming his own studio

Kojima officially departed from Konami today according to a report published by a Japanese media company called Nikkei. Nikkei specified that Kojima is negotiating with Sony to establish his own independent gaming studio. Throughout 2015 Kojima’s relationship with Konami has been severely strained to the extent that any promotion for Kojima Productions was cut from Metal Gear Solid V, production on the Silent Hills game was ceased, and allegedly, Kojima was not permitted to attend the The Game Awards 2015 because of his fragmented relationship with Konami.

Kojima Productions was officially disbanded in July and it is refreshing to hear that the mastermind behind the Metal Gear Solid franchise is moving forward with his own aspirations. Stay posted as more updates concerning Kojima’s plans become available.

I live in Southern California and I am a college graduate who enjoys playing video games both new and old. However, I am a very selective gamer and I tend to play games from my favorite genres most of the time, but I am still open to anything that peaks my interest. What games I can review or provide editorials for is mostly dependent on whether I can afford a certain game and if I have an opinion about the game that I wish to express. Anyway, I intend to contribute general gaming news and reviews to Cynosure Gaming as much as possible in order to inform, entertain, and unify gamers of all kinds.
