Rise of the Tomb Raider will release on PC and Steam this month

Square Enix announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider will hit Steam and PC on January 28th due to the game’s successful launch on the Xbox One and Xbox 360. The news of the game’s exclusivity on Microsoft consoles back in 2014 was met with disappointment from many Sony and PC fans hoping to dive into Tomb Raider for themselves. However, the recent news of the game’s release on Steam and PC is comforting for these fans, in fact, Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics also announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider will release for the Playstation 4 during the 2016 holiday.

The standard version of the game on PC costs $60, the Digital Deluxe version, which includes current DLC and a season pass for any future DLC costs $90, and finally a Collector’s Edition will retail at $150 at Square Enix’s e-store and will come with a Lara Croft statue.  Check out the image of the Collector’s Edition below and its goodies.

I live in Southern California and I am a college graduate who enjoys playing video games both new and old. However, I am a very selective gamer and I tend to play games from my favorite genres most of the time, but I am still open to anything that peaks my interest. What games I can review or provide editorials for is mostly dependent on whether I can afford a certain game and if I have an opinion about the game that I wish to express. Anyway, I intend to contribute general gaming news and reviews to Cynosure Gaming as much as possible in order to inform, entertain, and unify gamers of all kinds.
