CSG Game of the Year – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Here at CSG, we pride ourselves on taking time when reviewing games. They are our livelihood and as such, we invest in them. It was no different with our Game of the Year: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

If you know us, this decision does not come as a surprise, but nor does it come without merit.

The Nintendo Switch’s flagship game is everything any gamer—especially any Zelda fan—could ever need or want; beautiful scenery, great soundtrack, tons of side quests…it contains rewarding gameplay mechanics between combat and stealth sections; We even found cooking enjoyable. Perhaps more than that, a satisfying sense of exploration is deeply imbued within its bones, something absolutely essential to this genre.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an outright masterpiece and few games this year hardly hold a candle. We at CSG look forward to a bright future with this franchise, and boy, what a great way to launch a new Nintendo console.
