Kat’s E3 Wishlist

E3 is the biggest game expo of the year, and there’s always a lot to look forward to and hope for. Of course, we never get everything we want. I try not to give in to the hype, or be too picky about what I want, but like everyone else I have things I hope to see this year.

A New TES Game

By which I mean, please god not another MMO expansion. TESO is fine, but what I really want is a new, proper Elder Scrolls game in new province with a new epic storyline along with a billion other things to do and new ridiculous Bethesda bugs to experience. Of course what I really want is a regular TES game that lets me explore all of Tamriel, but I doubt that’ll ever happen so I’ll just have to be satisfied with ESO. Failing a new game, I wouldn’t mind seeing a remaster of the older titles in the series (‘cos let’s face it, even mods have a hard time making Oblivion look less fugly).

Cyberpunk 2077

After the massive success of the Witcher 3 (and it’s DLC) I’m hoping that we’ll be seeing a bit more from CD Projekt Red about their other big, anticipated title. The studio has been pretty tight lipped about it, and it’s been a few years since we heard anything about it, so hopefully now is the time. If their work on the Witcher is anything to go by, they should have nailed down everything they need to make Cyberpunk the next great RPG.

Pokemon Let’s Go/New Pokemon

Stupid Nintendo making me have to buy a stupid Switch to play have my stupid Pokemon follow me around again. T__T Let’s Go is aimed more towards kids and Pokemon Go players (of which I am both when it comes to Pokemon) while the next major game in the series will likely be more robust, as it should be considering Nintendo is making me buy an entirely new console just to get my hands on it (and here I thought I was set now that I have a 2DS.) I get confused with all the new Pokemon, and the only ones I really know well are from the first two Gens, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy the new games. After all, I beat Sun and Ultra Moon in a week each. I JUST WANT AN EEVEE.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Okay I admit it I love the AC franchise. I don’t care if they keep making the same game over and over again or if I know I’m going to meet every single important historical figure from that era ever just let me climb buildings and stab people for the love of god! Ancient Greece and Rome are two of my favourite time periods in all of history, topped only by the Viking Age and early medieval period. It seems like, as in Syndicate, the player can choose to play either a male or female protagonist, and for the first time dialogue options will be added into the gameplay. It seems like the AC series is taking a turn for the RPG route. Origins was an impressive game, both in terms of larger scope and smaller detail. Hopefully what we see of Odyssey will hold up on the game’s release (which I’m predicting will probably be at the end of October. I guess I should finish Origins.) Also can I kick someone into a pit while screaming THIS IS SPARTA!?

Star Wars

I highly doubt THIS is ever going to happen, but sue me for having dreams. We can all predict what’s going to come out of the EA conference, but, although I doubt it’s going to happen, I would die for a new KOTOR game, or even a remaster of the original two, with updated graphics and gameplay and cut content added back in. What we’re likely to get is DLC for Battlefront 2, which unfortunately I don’t give two bits about, but you never know~ E3 is full of surprises, after all.

All I ask, ALL I WANT, is for please GOD NO MORE MMOS.
